Bombardier Business Aircraft and Duncan Aviation have completed the installation of Gogo’s AVANCE L5 in-flight Wi-Fi system on the Challenger 300 and Challenger 600 series aircraft.

The system was installed on the basis of supplemental type certificates (STCs) jointly received by Bombardier and Duncan Aviation.

Operators of Bombardier’s Challenger 300 and Challenger 600 series aircraft can also choose to install the AVANCE L5 system as a retrofit option.

The installation can be carried out at Bombardier’s five service centres in North America, Duncan Aviation’s three maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities, as well as its various satellite locations.

Bombardier’s new Challenger 350/650 series aircraft will also be equipped with the 4G Wi-Fi system to enable passengers to stay connected.

Challenger aircraft are equipped with Bombardier’s exclusive high-definition cabin management system to offer an improved audio experience to passengers.

The aircraft’s flight deck will also feature a synthetic vision system (SVS) and MultiScan weather radar for increased situational awareness and reduced pilot workload.

Gogo’s AVANCE platform integrates various cabin features to allow passengers to easily access and use all available data, voice, maps, entertainment, and cabin management system (CMS) services.

AVANCE L5 is designed to offer users access to Gogo Biz 4G Wi-Fi, which is up to three times faster than the 3G network.
