Boeing has partnered with US-based Vertex Aerospace to provide landing gear overhaul service for Beechcraft customers worldwide.

Under the partnership, a 21-day door-to-door solution for the services will be offered to customers using Boeing’s Aviall global distribution system.

Customers will benefit from fast door-to-door shipping and maintenance services at a flat-fee pricing structure.

Boeing Global Services, General Aviation and OEM Services business vice-president William Ampofo said: “Safe, reliable and available aircraft parts are a must for any aircraft owner.

“By partnering with companies like Vertex, our Aviall operation can efficiently bring overhaul services directly to the customer, allowing their aircraft to be fully operational, anywhere across the globe.”

The partnership is also expected to grow beyond Beechcraft landing gear, allowing services to be offered for a range of business and general aviation aircraft on a flat-fee pricing structure.

Based in Mississippi, Vertex Aerospace provides aftermarket aerospace solutions for government and commercial customers.

With over 44 years of experience, the company operates in more than 100 locations globally.

Vertex Aerospace president and CEO Ed Boyington said: “Partnering with Boeing’s Aviall team for an advanced distribution system strengthens our ability to provide quality services to customers when they need it, wherever they need it.

“When you do business with Vertex and Aviall, you’re choosing a team with a long-standing tradition of success and value.”

In a separate development, Boeing won a $564m order from an undisclosed VIP customer for two 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
