Airbus has signed a contract to provide its Flight Hour Services – Tailored Support Package (FHS-TSP) for Indian full-service carrier Vistara.

Under the contract, Airbus FHS-TSP has been selected for Vistara’s 62 A320 aircraft, including 23 existing units. The contract will cover a range of services such as supply and repair of components and Fleet Technical Management service.

Commenting on the collaboration, Vistara Engineering senior vice-president Sisira Kanta Dash said: “We are delighted to announce the partnership with Airbus to avail the advantages of their TSP programme.

“Vistara is committed to the highest standards of operational efficiency and innovation and the adoption of this service is part of our continual efforts to maximise customer satisfaction.”

Airbus’ expertise will cover maintenance, engineering, reliability and supply chain management. An on-site Airbus team has been tasked to assist with the daily maintenance activities.

The FHS-TSP contract will make sure spare parts are available in a timely manner, maintenance planning and airworthiness advisories conformity.

Airbus Services head Rémi Maillard said: “Airbus Services’ combined aircraft engineering capabilities, expertise in maintenance operations and data analytics know-how will help Vistara to increase its competitiveness and secure its operations.

“This contract also reaffirms our commitment to expanding and deepening our Airbus Services footprint in India.”

Last year, Latvia-based airline Primera Air selected Airbus FHS-TSP for its complete fleet of A321neo aircraft and A321LR.
