G500-G600

Triumph Aerostructures – Vought Aircraft Division has secured a $250m contract from Gulfstream Aerospace to provide wing structural components for the recently launched G500 and G600 business jets.

Under the contract, Triumph will build the wing structural components at its US facilities in Nashville, Tennessee, and Los Angeles, California.

The company’s Triumph Actuation Systems – Connecticut division has been selected by UTC Aerospace Systems to provide nose wheel steering system for G500 and G600 airliners.

Work on the UTC Aerospace deal will be carried out at Triumph’s facilities in Bloomfield and East Lyme, Connecticut.

"These awards are important wins for Triumph, strengthening our long-term relationships with Gulfstream and UTC Aerospace Systems."

Triumph president and CEO Jeffry Frisby said: "These awards are important wins for Triumph, strengthening our long-term relationships with Gulfstream and UTC Aerospace Systems and building our presence in the business jet market.

"We are excited by our participation on Gulfstream’s new family of business jets and look forward to supporting this programme for many years to come."

Headquartered in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, Triumph designs, manufactures, repairs and overhauls various aerostructures, aircraft components, accessories, subassemblies and systems.

The company serves original equipment manufacturers of commercial, regional, business and military aircraft and aircraft components, as well as commercial and regional airlines.

The latest contract by Gulfstream Aerospace comes after the company selected GE Aviation earlier this month to provide avionics and power systems for the business jets.
