Prodways Group, a subsidiary of Groupe Gorgé has launched its aerospace division, with an aim to offer 3D printing solutions to the aerospace sector.

The division will include a complete range of 3D or additive manufacturing products. This includes design tools and embedded parts, plastic and metal finished parts, as well as machines and materials needed for all 3D printing technologies.

The France-based company is involved in the 3D printing sector. It recently expanded its polymer materials business for 3D printing with the acquisition of Exceltec.

Exceltec is involved in the development and distribution of polymer materials for 3D printing, which uses selective laser sintering for various industrial applications. It offers solutions for various sectors including aeronautics and medical.

"We are convinced that the future of 3D printing lies in high performance materials specially designed for large capacity industrial solutions."

Exceltec founder Olivier Coulet said: "We are convinced that the future of 3D printing lies in high performance materials specially designed for large capacity industrial solutions, while keeping production costs under control and optimised."

Groupe Gorgé’s subsidiary ECA Group’s aerospace division helped Prodways establish its new aerospace division. ECA group has 30 years of experience in the production, control and maintenance tools for the aerospace industry.

Prodways’ aerospace division will be based at the complex of ECA Group in Toulouse. The company plans to open a showroom, which will display tool applications used in industrial operations at aeronautical manufacturing sites.

The showroom will also house test equipments produced by the company.
