Global enterprise applications company IFS has completed the acquisition of Mxi Technologies for an undisclosed sum.

Mxi currently provides integrated and intelligent maintenance management software solutions for the global aviation industry, serving the defence and commercial operators; third-party maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) companies; and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

“We now look forward to working together with the team from Mxi to deliver true business value to our global customers in the aviation and defence industry.”

With the completion of the deal, Mxi’s software, support and services have been integrated into IFS Applications as an enterprise-wide, end-to-end maintenance solution.

Announced last month, the deal is in line with IFS’s growth strategy and has enabled the company to expand its presence in aviation maintenance software solutions.

IFS will also be able to provide enterprise applications to global customers in asset, service and product-centric verticals.

IFS president and CEO Alastair Sorbie said: “IFS, in combination with Mxi, solidifies itself as a world-leading provider of aviation maintenance software solutions to defence and commercial aviation operators, MROs, and OEMs.

“We now look forward to working together with the team from Mxi to deliver true business value to our global customers in the aviation and defence industry.”

The company is currently involved in the development of software for enterprise resource planning (ERP), enterprise asset management (EAM) and enterprise service management (ESM).

Employing 2,800 people, IFS currently supports more than one million users worldwide.
