US-based Honeywell has announced that its Primus Epic-based EASy II integrated cockpit has received EASA and FAA certification for deployment on the Dassault Falcon 2000S, Falcon 2000LXS and 7X business jetliners.

The certification continues Honeywell’s support of Dassault Falcon jetliners and builds on the existing flight deck certifications for the Falcon 900 series.

Honeywell stated that the cockpit experience across the Falcon series offers 2000S, 2000LXS and 7X operators an interface that improves situational awareness and helps reduce workload for the pilot.

The cockpit features Honeywell SmartView synthetic vision system (SVS), Honeywell SmartRunway and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Out transponder.

The SVS increases situational awareness by providing pilots a graphical display of scenario around the aircraft, even in degraded visual environments such as fog or low clouds.

SmartRunway enhances runway safety by providing timely positional advisories and audible alerts during taxi, takeoff, final approach, landing and roll-out, which substantially reduces the risks of runway incursions.

ADS-B Out transponder improves predictability, safety and airspace system capacity certified to the most stringent requirements.

According to Honeywell, EASy II has been certified for the Falcon 7X for protected mode-controller pilot data link communication, which improves the efficiency of exchanges between controllers and pilots.

It will also supplement the increasingly congested voice channels with secure and more reliable data links.

Earlier this week, Honeywell announced that its HTF7350 engine will power Bombardier’s new Challenger 350 super midsize business jetliner.

Honeywell is showcasing its business aviation portfolio at the European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (EBACE) 2013 event, which is being held in Geneva, Switzerland from 21-23 May.
