General Dynamics subsidiary Gulfstream Aerospace has signed one of the largest orders in its history in a deal to sell 60 aircraft with Minsheng Financial Leasing Co.

The sale includes super mid-size Gulfstream G280; large-cabin, long-range G450; large-cabin, ultra-long-range G550; and ultra-large-cabin, ultra-long-range G650.

Speaking about the new order, Gulfstream president Larry Flynn said Minsheng has quickly become the largest fleet owner in China.

"We are thrilled with Minsheng’s confidence in Gulfstream and look forward to working with the company throughout the delivery process and beyond," Flynn said.

The fuel-efficient G280 has a long-range and can accommodate up to ten passengers and travel 3,600nm (6,667km) at a speed of Mach 0.80 with four passengers.

"Gulfstream’s G550 aircraft can fly eight passengers with four crew a distance of 6,750nm (12,501km) at Mach 0.80."

The G650 can travel 7,000nm (12,964km) at Mach 0.85 or 6,000nm (11,112km) at Mach 0.90. It features PlaneView II cockpit with a number of standard safety enhancements.

Gulfstream’s G550 aircraft can fly eight passengers with four crew a distance of 6,750nm (12,501km) at Mach 0.80, while the G450 can travel 4,350nm (8,056km) with eight passengers at Mach 0.80.

The two aircraft feature PlaneView cockpit and EVS II with optional SV-PFD.

Minsheng Financial Leasing Aviation Leasing Division vice president Johnny Lau said the Gulfstream products combine reliability, performance, comfort and efficiency.

"Gulfstream’s high-standard product support was a major contributor to our decision to move forward with this agreement," Lau said.
