Dutch firm Fokker Technologies has collaborated with Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) to develop panoramic windows for aircraft.

The exploratory partnership through Fokker Services was announced at the 2014 European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (Ebace) conducted in Geneva, Switzerland.

Certified for the business aviation community, the Panoramic Window is expected to raise standards of personalising and designing VIP aircraft interiors.

Boeing Business Jets president Steve Taylor said that the innovative design is the latest example of Boeing Business Jets’ commitment to continually improving our product offerings with increased flexibility to meet customer requirements.

"Larger than three window bays, the panoramic window measures 54.5in wide with a height of 19.5in."

"Working with Fokker Services to develop the panoramic window will enable us to offer our customers, for the first-time, unmatched views outside the airplane cabin and a better flying experience," said Taylor.

The latest window innovation is planned for the BBJ’s 737-700 NG model aircraft, besides making it available for the upcoming BBJ MAX.

Fokker Services VP technical services and aircraft completions and conversions James Aspell said: "This is a real game-changer that offers owners, operators and passengers a distinctively new way to experience VIP air travel. We are proud we can achieve this together with Boeing Business Jets, a distinguished leader in global aviation industry."

The developers have put up a model panoramic window at Fokker Services Booth 3223.
