Airbus Helicopters has secured a deal to provide HCare service cover to Fishtail Air's fleet of two H125 helicopters for a period of five years.

The contract also mandates providing support for both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft events.

This deal enables Fishtail Air to secure a full material management service along with a parts availability commitment.

Fishtail Air CEO Suman Pandey said: "After being the first company to introduce the H125 in Nepal, we will now be the first to benefit from the HCare Smart programme in the country.

“We can now focus on operations to answer the growing demand for helicopter services in Nepal, while also ensuring high maintenance standards together with Airbus."

Established in 1997, Fishtail Air operates charter flights within Nepal, with occasional flights to Bhutan and India.

From its base in Kathmandu, the company operates sightseeing, rescue, medical evacuation, corporate transport, and support flights for heli-trekking to tourist destinations in the country.

HCare service is grouped into five segments, namely material management; helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and upgrades; technical support; training and flight operations and connected services.

Under one of three packages offered under material management, HCare Smart provides four by-the-hour services that help to meet the requirements of any operator type.
