Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has entered a dealer agreement with Southeast Aerospace to distribute its existing aviation global positioning system (GPS) solutions.

As part of the deal, Southeast Aerospace will add Esterline’s GPS products to its avionics installations to provide advanced navigation solutions to its customers.

“This partnership further solidifies our presence as a global leader in the aviation GPS industry.”

Designed for air transport, business aviation and helicopter markets, Esterline’s GPS portfolio includes CMA-5024 GPS landing system sensor, which is compliant with an Instrument Flight Rules, civil-certified global navigation satellite system (GNSS).

The portfolio also includes European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS), which helps GPS to provide accurate navigation to flight operators.

Esterline CMC electronics navigation and integrated systems vice-president Don Paolucci said: “This partnership further solidifies our presence as a global leader in the aviation GPS industry.”

The company currently provides innovative cockpit systems integration and avionics solutions to its customers worldwide.

In July, CMC announced that its PilotView Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and aircraft information server as factory options were installed aboard Swiss International Air Lines’ new Bombardier C Series aircraft.

Featuring a 12.1in multi-touch display and Intel Core i7 processor, PilotView Electronic Flight Bag EFB system is expected to provide flight operations applications and connectivity in the cockpit of the aircraft.
