Deals this week: Rolls-Royce, Boeing, DAC International


Rolls-Royce has received an $1.5bn order from Ethiopian Airlines to supply Trent XWB engines.

Rolls-Royce will supply Trent XWB engines for ten new Airbus A350-900 aircraft and provide Total Care service support for 14 aircraft currently in service or on order.

The Boeing Company has placed an order with Safran Aircraft Engines for electric propulsion subsystem.

Safran will deliver PPS5000 electric thrusters, power processing unit and technical services for a commercial satellite programme, as part of the contract.

DAC International has entered a deal to distribute Thommen Aircraft Equipment’s products, including mission equipment, air data computers, displays, digital clocks and chronographs.

The distribution agreement will allow Thommen to globally deliver its products.
