The Boeing Company has secured a $96m contract from Mauritania Airlines to provide a next-generation 737-800 single-aisle aircraft.

The new aircraft will be equipped with the Boeing Sky interior cabin.

Satellite service provider SpeedCast International has announced its intent to issue a first tranche of 17,300,000 shares in underwritten private placement, at a coupon rate of $2.65 a share, to raise $45.99m.

The net proceeds from the offering will be invested into acquisitions. SpeedCast also plans to raise $1.29m through the issuance of second tranche of shares.

Rolls-Royce has been awarded an engine supply contract by Cebu Pacific for two Airbus A330 twin-engine jet airliner.

Under the contract, Rolls-Royce will supply Trent 700 turbofan engines and provide long-term TotalCare services for the Airbus A330 aircraft.

Worth $24m, the two-year contract extension has been awarded to Erickson Incorporated and Kestrel Aviation for the supply of six S-64E Aircrane heavy-lift wildland firefighting helicopters in Australia.

The new helicopters will be used to perform aerial fire suppression to assist in the control of bushfires in Australia.

The contract will also see the companies deploy S-64 Helitankers at six different locations in the country to provide rapid response.

Embraer has awarded a contract to CPI Aerostructures to deliver the Embraer E175-E2 aircraft’s structural parts.

The structural components supplied by CPI are meant for the production of engine pylon fairings of the E175-E2.
