Bombardier Global

Bombardier Aerospace has secured a firm order valued at $2.2bn for 38 business jets from an undisclosed customer.

The order comprises 28 Global business jets and ten Challenger 605 business jets.

Bombardier’s Global aircraft feature enhanced speed, cabin volume, range and technology, and covers the large, ultra long-range category.

The aircraft family includes four models that cater to the demand for non-stop business jet services between international cities, catering to the growing needs of business jet passengers.

The Challenger 605 wide body business aircraft, built on its predecessor, Challenger 604 jet, is an intercontinental jet, with high-speed cruise of Mach 0.82 and 4,000nm (7,408km) range; it can carry 12 passengers and three crew members from New York City to London non-stop.

In addition to this order, Bombardier received a firm order for ten Challenger 350 business aircraft from an undisclosed customer. The transaction is valued at nearly $259m, based on list prices.

In 2013, the company secured order for five Challenger 300 jets and five Challenger 605 jets, worth an estimated $280m.

Bombardier, headquartered in Montréal, Canada, has reported revenues of $12.8bn for the nine-month period ending 30 September 2013.

Bombardier Aerospace operates manufacturing, engineering and services facilities in 25 countries.

Its aircraft portfolio includes business, commercial, amphibious and specialised aircraft.
