Bombardier has appointed Harrods Aviation of Luton as an authorised service facility (ASF) for business aircraft customers based in or flying to Europe.

Located in London Luton, UK, the 54,788ft² ASF will provide line maintenance for Challenger 300 and Challenger 605 jetliners, in addition to line and heavy maintenance for Global business aircraft.

Bombardier Aerospace customer services and specialised and amphibious aircraft president Éric Martel said the new addition to Bombardier’s expanding aftermarket network would provide its business aircraft customers with even more options for high-quality maintenance services closer to home.

"With its wealth of experience, we are confident that Harrods Aviation can deliver first-class services to operators in the region," Martel added.

Harrods Aviation, located at Luton London airport, provides line and base maintenance as well as aircraft on ground (AOG) services supported by a team of 14 technicians.

The maintenance facility offers a variety of on-site services with capabilities to perform major and minor scheduled maintenance, re-workings and modifications for business aircraft customers.

The addition of Harrods Aviation to Bombardier’s service and maintenance network brings the count of ASFs serving the Bombardier’s business jets customers to more than 55 facilities worldwide.

These facilities are supported by nine Bombardier-owned service centres in North America and Europe, with a new facility for business jets scheduled to be opened in Singapore by the end of this year.

Harrods Aviation is a fixed-base operator (FBO) and Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services provider for business and corporate aviation in the UK with bases at London Luton Airport and London Stansted Airport.
