"We are very proud of the in-service record that the CFM56 engine has established in the industry; it truly is the gold standard for performance and reliability and we are honoured by the continued faith that BOC Aviation and its airline customers have in our products."

CFM has delivered more than 6,600 CFM56-5B engines to date to operators worldwide. The CFM56-5B can power all the variants of the A320 family from A318 to A321, CFM said.
