Avion Express A320

Lithuanian airline Avion Express has extended its power-by-the-hour (PBH) contract with aircraft spares support provider AJW Aviation for a further ten years.

The latest extension follows a PBH support contract awarded to AJW Aviation in June 2012, to provide services for the carrier’s A320 fleet.

Avion Partners chairman David Masson said: "The continuation of this agreement recognises the dependable on-going power-by-the-hour support that AJW provides for this part of our European operation.

"It covers all 12 A320 aircraft, offering full ATA coverage and on-site stock."

AJW Group president Christopher Whiteside said: "Accessing the spare parts needed, when they are needed, is critical to an airline’s success.

"It covers all 12 A320 aircraft, offering full ATA coverage and on-site stock."

"AJW has the resources and knowledge required to effectively manage these important services for Avion Express to the highest standard."

Established in 2005, Avion Express operated under the Nordic Solutions Air Services name until rebranding in 2008.

Headquartered in Vilnius, the airline focuses on charter and cargo operations, and is said to be the largest seat capacity fleet operator within the Baltic States.

Using its A320 fleet, Avion Express provides capacity to other airlines across the world under the ACMI concept.

AJW Aviation specialises in aircraft on ground (AOG) and critical component services for around 500 aircraft under contract for more than 1,000 airlines globally. The company operates a component repair and overhaul facility in Montreal, Canada.
