Ireland-based aircraft leasing company AWAS has placed an order with Airbus for an additional 15 A320 family aircraft, including 12 A320ceo and three A321ceo aircraft.

With the latest order, AWAS’ collective orders for A320 family aircraft have reached a total of 95 planes, which involves 89 A320 and six A321 aircraft.

"AWAS is pleased to be able to offer our customers new production CEOs in support of their fleet plans."

The entire A320 aircraft family is equipped with 18in wide seats in economy as standard, and can carry between 100 and 240 passengers from low-density to high-density domestic to longer range routes.

"Its value proposition to airlines remains strong, which is evident in the continued global demand for Airbus single-aisle aircraft."

Airbus has so far received more than 12,500 orders for A320 aircraft family, and over 7,000 aircraft have been delivered to 400 customer and operators worldwide.
