AgustaWestland, a unit of Finmeccanica , and Abu Dhabi Aviation have formed a joint venture (JV) in the UAE to provide helicopter maintenance.
The JV will operate under the name AgustaWestland Aviation Services.
The new JV will offer services including the sale of helicopter spare parts and accessories, helicopter/component repair and overhaul, customisation, modification and upgrading.
The scope of the JV could be expanded further to include the development of special configurations, component production and helicopter assembly.
The joint venture will be of mutual benefit to both partners, further expanding their range of services and capabilities.
