AugustaWestland will deliver two Grand New light twin helicopters and one AW119ke helicopter to Sharp Ocean, under a new contract.
The Grand New, an evolved version of the Grand helicopter, has a maximum cruise speed of 156kt, a range of up to 424nm and a maximum take-off weight of 7,000lb.
Featuring Chelton FlightLogic synthetic vision EFIS and a four-axis digital duplex autopilot the helicopter provides enhanced situational awareness and flight management capabilities.
The single-engine AW119Ke, an upgraded version of the A119 Koala, can carry eight passengers up to 505nm at speeds of up to 139kt, and perform in hot and high operating environments.
The order marks the introduction of the Grand New into the Indian helicopter market. Sharp Ocean will use both models for VIP transport missions.
