Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has signed a $2.5bn order with Boeing for 14 next-generation 737-800s, with options for four more aircraft, and five 777-300ER extended-range aircraft.
The order builds on ALC's existing backlog of 60 next-generation 737-800s.
The 777-300ER is a long-range twin-engine jetliner, capable of carrying 365 passengers up to 7,930nm (14,685km).
ALC also has the option to purchase four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
