Thales and Brussels Airlines have entered into an agreement for the integration of a new electronic flight bag system, TopWings, aboard the carrier's fleet.
The system will be located in the cockpit and will be integrated in the airline's fleet, starting with the Airbus 319 single-aisle aircraft.
It offers pilots essential flight information in a digital format, improves the efficiency of airline operations, optimises costs and reduces pilot workload, according to Thales.
The system is based on NavAero hardware, and AMT and Jeppesen software applications. It integrates hardware and software, enabling the exchange of information in real time between the aircraft and an airline's ground operations.
With integration of Thales's TopWings system, Brussels Airlines aims to reduce operational costs and the amount of paper printed every day.
