Bombardier has received a $121m order from China’s Dondhai Jet for five super-mid-size Challenger 300 jets.

The new Challenger 300 business jets will join a new Challenger 605 jet, which was delivered to Donghai recently.

Donghai Jet will begin operating the first Challenger 300 and Challenger 605 jets, to be based in China, in the near future.

Bombardier Business Aircraft president Steve Ridolfi said the range and cabin size of the Challenger 300 and Challenger 605 jets were ideally suited for non-stop access throughout the region and a perfect fit for Donghai Jet’s charter operation.

The Challenger 300 can travel with eight passengers over distances of 3,100nm, at a cruise speed of Mach 0.80.
