Airbus has placed an order with Bombardier Aerostructures and Engineering Services to supply new engine nacelles.

Bombardier’s Northern Ireland division will manufacture and supply a new thrust reverser for the Airbus A320neo aircraft driven by Pure Power PW1100G engines, as part of the order.

The contract strengthens Bombardier’s capabilities in the nacelles market.

Russian Helicopters JSC has announced the offering of common shares in a private placement at a price of $21.04 a unit.

Russian Helicopters is engaged in designing and manufacturing of civil and military helicopters.

French airline Aircalin has placed an order with Rolls-Royce for the supply of Trent 7000 engines.

Rolls-Royce will provide Trent 7000 engines, along with TotalCare engine support service to power two new Airbus A330neo long-haul aircraft.

The engines are expected to offer greater passenger comfort while improving fuel efficiency.

Japan Airlines and Boom Supersonic have partnered to develop a new-generation supersonic passenger aircraft for the commercial aviation industry.

The airline will invest up to $10m in Boom, which will help the latter to revamp its aircraft design and define the passenger experience for supersonic travel.

The carrier has an option to purchase up to 20 Boom supersonic aircraft under a pre-order arrangement.
