FAA Aerospace Forecast for Fiscal Years 2009-2025

International aviation markets will grow faster than domestic markets and the number of larger regional jets will increase while most smaller regional jets will be retired, according to this FAA white paper on near and long-term trends in the aviation industry.

This paper indicates a decline in capacity of carriers including a fall in the size of aircraft in the domestic market to suit demand. And in the long term, with the introduction of new business jets and light sports aircraft, demand for general aviation products and services will continue to increase.
