Bombardier CRJ100/200 and CRJ700/900 Maintenance Type Ratings Now Available From Swiss Aviation Training

16 February 2010

The Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviaton (FOCA) has confirmed the EASA Part 147 approval of Swiss Aviation Training as a provider of maintenance type rating training for the Bombardier CRJ100/200 and CRJ700/900 aircraft types.

These latest EASA approvals will enable Swiss Aviation Training (SAT) to further expand its training services portfolio. SAT now holds the full range of maintenance training approvals for the various jet aircraft used on regional air services around the world. The company already offers B1, B2, combined B1+B2, C, A and Level 2 technical training courses and practical training for the Avro 146/RJ, the Embraer ERJ 135/145/Legacy, the EMB 170/190/Lineage and the Saab 2000.

SAT can thus continue to build on its extensive expertise and its many years of experience in providing training services for regional aircraft types.

Swiss Aviation Training already has a first customer for its new Bombardier maintenance type rating training: Lufthansa Technik of Stuttgart, Germany. Bombardier has already delivered a total of over 1,500 CRJ aircraft of its various 100 to 900 types by now.

Swiss Aviation Training is a fully-owned subsidiary of Swiss International Air Lines. The company, which is headed by CEO Manfred Brennwald, has operations in Basel and Zurich and focuses on providing initial and further training for commercial pilots, cabin personnel, aircraft mechanics and corporations.

An approved flight training organisation and type rating training organisation (FTO/TRTO), Swiss Aviation Training has extensive experience in its various training fields, and counts several Swiss and international airlines among its customers together with further companies from other business sectors.
