Swiss Aviation Training Offers New Web-Based Training

27 January 2010

Swiss AviationTraining now offers fuel tank safety training for aviation maintenance personnel via its new Learning Management System elearning facility, which it has developed in collaboration with infoWERK Multimedia GmbH.

The new courses are available via the Swiss AviationTraining website at www.swissaviation- training.com/xxxx.

The new Learning Management System is a joint development by Swiss AviationTraining (SAT), which has contributed its many years of experience and extensive expertise in training pilots, cabin attendants and technical personnel, and its specialist software partner infoWERK Multimedia GmbH.

In establishing the new system, the partners have initially focused on providing online training for maintenance personnel in the fuel tank safety, human factors, winter operations and dangerous goods fields. The system should now be further extended to pilot training courses, too.

Level 1 and 2 fuel tank safety training has been an EASA requirement (under Part M and Part 145) since 2007, and all pilots and maintenance personnel subject to EASA regulations will need to have completed the corresponding courses by the end of 2010. In view of this, SAT expects to see sizeable demand for the new online training courses, particularly as they can be conducted by the customer locally, simply, on time and at an attractive price.
