ATC-Communication - ICAO Aviation English Training and Testing

ATC-Communication is based in The Netherlands and specializes in providing ICAO aviation language training to aviation personnel which can be pilots, air traffic controllers, airport fire fighters, apron staff etc. Aviation language is divided in two parts, aviation language as set out in the ICAO language proficiency requirements and radiotelephony. ATC-Communication offers web based training with professional instructors to a wide range of customers worldwide. ATC-Communication has a workforce of some 20 driven employees.

Internet-based aviation language training

In 2003 the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) announced changes to provisions strengthening language proficiency requirements. These requirements are in force now which means that all pilots operating on international routes and all air traffic controllers who communicate with foreign pilots will need to have their English language proficiency formally assessed. Are you ready for this? ATC-Communication offers (web-based) training courses to reach the minimum required operational Level 4 and higher. ATC-Communication has trained and tested thousands of pilots and air traffic controllers worldwide.

Radiotelephony training

ICAO Radiotelephony is the operational language for pilots and air traffic controllers worldwide. ATC-Communication offers (web-based) training courses with professional instructors via an innovative web-based training method.

Flight simulator soundfiles

ATC-Communications is provider of professional sound files to be used in full flight flight simulators by a growing number of customers over the world. Modern advanced flight simulators offer a detailed copy of the cockpit of an aircraft and simulate every detail of the flight including vision and sounds. Approaches and landings on airports all over de world are very realistic. Chatter will increase the realism of the flights. Chatter is background communication between aircraft and air traffic control (ATC) which can be heard during the various stages of the flight. An approach to JFK New York or Taipei Chiang Kai-Shek will be more realistic.

Air traffic control language courses

ATC-Communication is a specialist in ICAO RadioTelephony training (RT) and therefore a JAR-registrated training facility for RT lessons and exams under reference number RT NL-RTF-301/1. RT (practical training) and communications (the theoretical part) are part of the JAA syllabus for pilots. We also provide radiotelephony courses to ground staff communicating with ATC.

ATC-Communication provides courses with professional instructors with an ATC background. The following courses are provided:

  • VFR-RT (also refresher)
  • IFR-RT (also refresher)
