navAero announces the succesful completion of RTCA DO160 section G testing for electromagnetic interference and rapid decompression on fourth generation iPad tablet computers.
As an enhancement of navAero DO160 testing, it is a value-added service to customers who request professional assistance in obtaining the required documentation that will allow them to achieve paperless cockpit operational approval of iPad devices as a class two electronic flight bag (EFB) and navAero iPad/Tablet EFB hardware installations.
Testing can be provided on either a single commercial sample as a one-off test, or on a commercial sample plus a letter of similarity and tracking / auditing capabilities based on serial and part number, to cover any other tablet-like device acquired and included into the customer’s operational EFB environment.
The navAero service includes specific test plan and relevant documentation normally required by the authority. All testing results are provided, as official documentation for operator use and are usually accomplished within one to two weeks after project initiation.
