Brady produce a range of high performance labelling materials for aerospace applications, to ensure highly legible, clear labels which can endure the toughest of conditions.

Heat shrinkable wire marking sleeves

Brady high-performance labelling materials have been vigorously lab and field tested to meet the exacting requirements of the aerospace industry. PermaSleeve™ 3:1 heat shrinkable sleeves fit snugly around wires for protection and permanent identification.

These fade-resistant, smudge-proof full-circle insulating sleeves meet the following insulating material and physical property specifications:

  • MIL-DTL-23053/5 Class 1
  • MIL-M-81531
  • MIL-STD-202
  • UL and CSA recognized

Our heat shrinkable wire marking sleeves are high-temperature rated, highly flame retardant, and very flexible. Brady heat shrinkable wire marking sleeves meet these specifications for the aerospace industry:

  • MIL-DTL-23053/5 Class 1
  • MIL-M-81531
  • MIL-STD-202
  • UL and CSA recognized

Our heat shrinkable wire marking sleeves are also available in a halogen-free option, offering outstanding fire safety properties and minimal smoke emission. These halogen-free materials meet the following industry specifications:

  • MIL-STD-202

Nomex® B-508 tag material is a thermal transfer printable wire bundle and cable identification tag designed for use in harsh environments. It offers excellent tear, solvent, and heat resistance. Nomex material meets MIL-M 81531 industry specifications.

Self laminating vinyl labels

Self-laminating vinyl labels are designed for thermal transfer printers and utilize a clear "tail" that wraps around the label to protect the text from fading and abrasion. Our labels are UL recognized and ROHS compliant.

Fluid tubing identification tape

B-999 fluid line tape is designed exclusively for aircraft tubing identification. It is subsurface printed, flexible, transparent polyester film tape with a heat activated adhesive, printable with dot matrix or thermal transfer printers. Our adhesive tape offers superior resistance to fuels, oils, and hydraulic fluids. Low initial adhesion allows the tape to be easily repositioned when first applied.

Raised panel labels

B-593 raised panel labels are designed for identification applications that require name plate quality, including patch panels, external push-buttons, switches, and internal connection points.

Repositionable vunyl labels

UL and cUL recognized B-498 repositionable vinyl labels feature a specially formulated top coat with a cloth backing. These labels provide very good thermal transfer print quality and excellent holding power, while allowing for clean removal and repositioning of the label.

Translucent high temperature resistant labels

B-642 Tedlar labels are made from a translucent polyvinylfluoride film with good self-extinguishing properties; ideal for high-temperature applications. It is a thin tape with a primed printable surface that is excellent for wrapping on small diameter wires. These labels offer good print smudge resistance and solvent resistance, with a permanent, acrylic, pressure sensitive adhesive.
