Parc Aviation Training, part of the Parc Group, has received A320 type rating approval from the Irish Aviation Authority, making it the only non-airline Joint Aviation Requirements-approved Type Rating Training Organisation (TRTO) offering the course in Ireland.
In operation since 2002, Parc Aviation Training already provides a range of MCC and TRTO courses, including the B737-200 and B737-3 / 4 / 500 type ratings. Consistent with existing courses, the newly approved A320 type rating training course will also be limited to classes of four students.
The training company's parent, Parc Aviation, is the world's largest provider of flight crew to the aviation industry, and 100% of students attending type rating courses previously have been placed in airlines, including British Airways, Thomsonfly, Transavia, Air Asia and Euro Atlantic.
Commenting on the A320 accreditation, Parc Aviation Training Commercial Director, Margie Burns, said: "We are very pleased to receive A320 type rating approval from the Irish Aviation Authority, and look forward to providing students with the knowledge and expertise they need to build a career as an A320 pilot." She added that "in conjunction with our other type rating courses, this enables us to be a value based one-stop shop for trainee pilots in Ireland and Europe."
To mark the commencement of the A320 type rating course, a limited launch price of €26,500 has been made available to the first twenty students who sign up for courses before 31 January; a price which includes the base check.
Students wishing to do a type rating course with Parc Aviation Training will undergo two days of assessments in Dublin to verify their suitability before committing to the training programme.
