Irish company Parc Aviation has become only the seventh organisation to receive Audit Organisation approval from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for its Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Programme. Parc Aviation with 30 years experience carrying out high-level assignments for airlines worldwide has the necessary skills and resources in place to provide approved IOSA Audits to airlines worldwide.
IOSA is an internationally recognised and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline. It provides the operational standards, recommended practices and supporting information necessary for an airline to successfully achieve high safety standards. IOSA uses recognised quality audit principles, and is designed so that audits are conducted in a standardised and consistent manner.
The programme has established an auditing benchmark across the aviation industry allowing airlines to significantly lower costs and streamline the entire auditing process. All IATA member airlines have agreed to complete IOSA audits and be placed on the IOSA registry. At present 62 airlines worldwide are already on the IOSA registry.
In order to carry out IOSA Audits, Parc Aviation which is part of the Parc Group, has built up a team of experienced safety professionals who have all been qualified and accredited by meeting stringent IOSA training and qualifications standards.
Commenting on IATA accreditation, Parc Aviation Chief Executive, Tim Shattock said “We are very pleased to receive IOSA Audit Organisation status from IATA and look forward to contributing to the continued success of the programme. He added “IOSA Audit Organisation Status enables us to continue providing a range of added value, integrated aviation services to the aviation industry.”
