HAWKER MAIN SHIP BATTERIES

AIRCRAFT BATTERIES AND CHARGING SYSTEMS

Securaplane has been a supplier to aviation since the mid-80s and has supplied batteries and charging systems for many aircraft including these recent battery STC certifications: ATR 42/72 series, Dash-8, Caravan 208, G-II, G-III, G-IV, Challenger 600/601, CRJ 100/200/700/900 and Citation 500/501/550/560 series, King Air 90, 100, 200 and 300 series and Falcon 2000.

The Hawker battery may be installed through a variety of Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) or PMA / field approved installations.

SLA AIRCRAFT EMERGENCY BATTERY SYSTEMS

Securaplane emergency battery systems use Hawker Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries instead of Ni-Cad batteries. Hawker sealed lead acid batteries have proven to be highly reliable in over 15 years of aircraft emergency battery applications. 

Securaplane has designed the XL emergency battery as a 'no removal maintenance concept'.  The units are designed to inform the operator if a battery is failing.  It is even possible to test the failure detection circuits simply by pressing a BITE button.  This concept significantly reduces FAA paperwork and maintenance workload.
