Paris Air Show 2005: GMT Entering a New Market

25 July 2005 18:48

A lot of records have been established during the 46th edition of the aircraft and space industry fair in Paris: the number of visitors has considerably increased, many contracts were signed. The new Airbus A-380 was the centre of interest of everybody, an impressing flight demonstration was planned everyday.

As a new supplier for the Airbus A-380, GMT had naturally to be in Paris, it is quite important to exhibit when the company is entering a new market with new objectives and new customers. GMT's first ambition in Paris was to present its tie rods, which are used in the Airbus, but which can interest other customers. Meetings with existing and new suppliers can also bring a lot, because the processes and the materials have always to be improved in a market which is every day more ambitious and demanding.

The results are positive, new contacts have been taken, new projects have been discussed. For example, the French company Dassault Aviation has been quite interested by the range of aircraft components proposed by GMT. Enquiries have been received since the end of the fair, for example from the English company AIM Aviation which purchases at the moment some tie rods in France and needs more delivery reliability now.

To conclude, the 46th Paris Air Show has been successful for GMT, it was an excellent way to advertise and progress at the same time. The next edition of this fair will occur in 2007, with brain new objectives and applications.
