AneCom AeroTest - Aero Engine Design and Test Services

AneCom AeroTest is a DIN EN 9100 (including DIN EN 9001:2000) certified service company located on the outskirts of Berlin, Germany. We are an independent, highly reliable service provider offering unique services in the field of gas turbine development with a special focus on aero-thermal component testing of compressor, combustor and turbine rigs.

Our commitment to quality, on-time delivery and adherence to costs are the cornerstones of our business. To reduce our customer's administration AneCom AeroTest has developed its unique 'one-stop shop' concept. The one-stop shop concept provides project management of the complete engineering and testing package. This includes design and construction of test vehicles, instrumentation, assembly, execution of tests and data validation. Single elements of the one-stop shop concept are also offered. All services are executed through our highly qualified and motivated personnel.

As an option we also offer our services at our customers' premises.

AERO ENGINE PROJECT MANAGEMENT

All projects are managed to supply a full service to our customers:

• Budget and time schedule management for the whole process
• Specification for design and make of test vehicles
• Supply-chain management
• Test specification and management
• Change management
• Reporting to the customer

CAD DESIGN AND ANALYSIS

AneCom AeroTest provides vast experience in CAD design, especially regarding:

• Mechanical design of test vehicles
• Instrumentation design of test vehicles and complete engines
• Telemetry design including integration on test vehicles and complete engines
• SPTE, dressings
• Special tooling

Depending on the customer's requirements AneCom AeroTest can use any modern CAD tool, such as CADDS 5, CATIA V4/V5, Unigraphics and Pro E.

STRESS AND THERMAL ANALYSIS

As part of the one-stop shop concept AneCom AeroTest also performs stress and thermal analysis:

• Stress and vibration analysis on rotor blades, stator vanes and blisks (3D), (steady stress, af-strength, HCF and LCF-life, resonance, root stress, etc.)
• 2-D and 3-D thermo-mechanical modelling and analysis (rotor and casing, bearing structure and other rig parts)
• Strain gauge positioning on rotor blades and stator vanes

Additional measurement systems can be provided upon request. Flow checks and calibration of probes are performed in our aerodynamic flow laboratory.

TEST VEHICLE ASSEMBLY AND INSPECTION

AneCom AeroTest performs the assembly of the complete test vehicle, conducts changes and modifications required during a test campaign and strips the test vehicle for inspection and storage.

For these activities AneCom AeroTest provides a 1,000m² shop area including all necessary parts and storage areas.

INSTRUMENTATION LABORATORY

Also part of the portfolio is our instrumentation laboratory used for:

• Pressure and temperature instrumentation on static and rotating parts
• Hot strain gauges on static and rotating parts
• Telemetry installation
• Any other special sensors required by the customer

TEST VEHICLE MEASUREMENT

To provide the best services to our customers we offer a state-of-the-art measurement system. The AneCom AeroTest experience includes all aspects of test vehicle instrumentation, test facility measurement, and control system and specific measurement systems, like:

• Tip clearance
• Hot-film techniques
• Traverse probes
• Fast-response pressure probes

Additional measurement systems can be provided upon request. Flow checks and calibration of probes will be performed in our aerodynamic flow laboratory.

AERO-THERMAL RIG TESTING AND FLOW TESTING

AneCom AeroTest's experience covers all aspects of aero thermal rig testing for compressors, combustors and turbines as well as flow testing of other components (e.g. cooled turbine blades or pipes) and the calibration of flow probes and mass flow measurement devices.

AERO-ACOUSTIC TEST FACILITY FOR AERO ENGINE FANS

AneCom AeroTest operates Europe's largest aero-acoustic test facility for aero engine fans. The anechoic test facility was specifically designed to satisfy the requirements for advanced testing and investigation of fan noise.
