TMW - Aircraft Engine and Airframe Component Maintenance

Kruse's Capital Group is proud to offer a wide range of services in the aero engine, turbine components, engine accessory and aircraft component sectors of the aviation aftermarket. The concept is simple: lowest total cost per flying hour for the demanding operational needs of the older large-fan legacy type engines.

The maintenance needs of older engines increase significantly towards the end of their lives. However, large fan-engine owners, operators, leasing companies and engine service providers demand ever-reducing costs per flying hour.

All the facilities carry FAA / EASA and ISO 9000-2001 approvals as well as the approval of many of the world's aviation authorities.

AIRCRAFT ENGINE AND COMPONENT OVERHAUL AND REPAIR

Turbine Motor Works (TMW) is a fully-integrated aero engine and component overhaul and repair facility. The demands of the large fan CF6, JT3D and JT9D family aero-engines required a large engine overhaul shop housed in a 50,000ft² remodelled hangar, with room for planned expansion on the 26 acre site.

LARGE FAN AERO ENGINE ONE-STOP SHOP

Strategically located in East Anglia (north-east of London), in the UK – equidistant from London's airports and the UK's midland airports – TMW offers a one-stop shop for large fan aero-engine owners, operators and leasing companies, and holds EASA, FAA 145 and ISO9000-2001 approvals. Lease engines and flight-hour support agreements are available to support service delivery.

TMW owes its foundation to a company started in 1984 as Jet Technology. It was originally based in Dublin, Ireland, and later transferred to Manston, Kent, the UK. The company relocated to East Anglia in 2004.

IN-HOUSE AIRCRAFT COMPONENT REFURBISHMENT

TCW, an independent sister company of TMW, is housed next door in a 85,000ft² state-of-the-art workshop for tooling, fixtures, process and equipment. It effectively provides in-house refurbishment of components and contributes to the lowest total cost per flying hour concept.

TCW offers a competitive range of capabilities in terms of price, quality and turntime to airlines and engine service providers and holds EASA, FAA 145 and ISO9000-2001 approvals.  Currently, CF6, JT3D and JT9D components are refurbished so as to match TMW's engine capability. Further development will include industrial or aero-derivative gas turbines.

AIRCRAFT PIECE PART REPAIR

TCW's extensive capability meets TMW's aircraft-component repair needs and serves third-party customers in piece part repair.

Our specialist process capabilities include thermal spray, HVOF, water jet, EB welding, heat treatment, dabber TIG welding, vacuum brazing, wet and dry grit blasting, shot peening, stress relieving, vibratory mill and full machine shop, vertical and horizontal tip grinders, and CNC capabilities.

We can overhaul airfoils, combustors, cases, air seals, structural repairs and coatings.

AIRFRAME AND ENGINE COMPONENT REPAIR AND OVERHAUL

TAMRO, an independent sister company of TMW is housed in 90,000ft² state-of-the-art workshops. It effectively provides a competitive range of products and services in terms of price, quality and turntime. It contributes to the lowest total cost per flying hour concept.

Airlines and MRO facilities will find a clear competitive advantage at TAMRO as a specialist provider of repair and overhaul services for components and accessories installed on both airframes and engines. TAMRO holds EASA, FAA 145 and ISO9000-2001 approval certificates, and has the latest state-of-the-art aircraft testing, tooling and repair equipment.

Systems supported include hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, fuel, airframe structural or flight controls, safety, landing gear, wheels and brakes, and composite repairs. TAMRO also has a product which specialises in flight hour support agreements, covering all installed components for a wide range of Boeing and Airbus types.

MINIMAL AIRCRAFT DOWNTIME

The operational demands on passenger and cargo airlines alike demand minimum down-time. TLC, another part of Kruse's Capital Group, works closely in a knowledgeable and flexible way with its airline customers to keep their aircraft flying, with a consistent offering of engines fully restored for a full life.
