Ludwigsfelde, Germany – MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg has been awarded an agreement valued at approximately NKr 350 million (appr. €42 million) to provide maintenance services for GE LM gas turbines used in offshore platforms in the North Sea and onshore facilities located in Norway. The sites are owned and operated by oil-exploration companies STATOIL ASA, a Norwegian company based in Stavanger, Norway; Norsk Hydro Produksjon; and Exxon Mobile Exploration and Production Norway.
Under the terms of the agreement, MTU will provide maintenance and repair ser-vices for planned and unplanned maintenance of approximately 40% of the entire fleet of GE LM gas turbines in operation. The agreement will cover a maintenance period of three years. All of the units are originally manufactured by GE and are used mainly for oil and gas production, as well as power production.
