SELA - Aircraft Interior Lighting

Located in the south-west of France, near Toulouse, SELA designs and manufactures complete lighting systems using LED, halogen and fluorescent sources along with their dedicated power supplies.

In 2008, SELA reached a milestone: 50 years of cockpit and cabin lighting production. During those five decades SELA has gained experience and – in partnership with its customers – developed a full range of lighting fixtures that aim to combine customisability and reliability.

CUSTOMISED COCKPIT AND CABIN LIGHTING

With its own engineering department, SELA can serialise or customise any cockpit or cabin lighting system (including in civil and VIP aircraft, and regional jets) and can provide military NVG compatibility.

Their sister company Bigorre Aerospace Corporation (BAC) – located in Florida, USA – provides access to North American OEMs and operators which can provide the best support.

We desire to provide a complete lighting product line for our customers. Any cabin or cockpit has a unique personality and atmosphere, and to ensure a perfect match between our lights and an interior design, SELA and BAC supply all kinds of light sources (including LEDs, halogen and fluorescent) for any type of requirement.

We have also recently added new products to our range, such as customised table lamps, mural fixtures and seat lights. These are entirely manufactured in-house according to customers' specifications (including leather and plating).

UP/DOWN WASH LED STRIP-LIGHTS

Our product line has been enriched by new LED applications like up/down wash LED strip-lights. This new SELA LED system – the optimum alternative to fluorescent systems – possesses:

• Light weight (0.163kg/m)
• High brightness (336lx/m)
• A large lighting angle (120°)
• Small size (22mm x 7mm)

It is also easy to install, as no separated power supply is needed; instead it is directly plugged into the aircraft's 28VDC supply.

Directly adjustable through the aircraft cabin management system, the SELA up/down wash LED system can be quickly and easily installed. Available from warm white to cool white, this new LED lighting system is fully D0160 E compliant and qualified. SELA supplies LED mood lighting for cabins.

COCKPIT LIGHT PLATES AND EQUIPPED PANELS

SELA manufactures a complete range of cockpit light plates and equipped panels in-house. With a digital milling machine, a laser engraving machine, a video-photometer in dark room, painting workshops with temperature control and an inspection material for painting process, SELA can directly control its production process.

Using the latest LED technology, we can supply you with all the LED cabin lighting you require (including ambient lighting, dome lights, spot lights, reading lights, galley lights, stowage lights, emergency lights and seat lights).

SELA's products provide brighter lighting whilst also ensuring lower energy consumption.
