Fiber ProTector Norge - Stain Repellent Treatment for Aircraft Interior Protection

New to the aerospace and rail industries, Fiber Protector Norge AS has been working for years in the global shipping and hotel industries, protecting fine fabrics and soft furnishings against the ingress of dirt and stains.

As world market leaders in the technology of flouropolymer fabric and carpet treatments, Fiber Protector has been working to develop the next generation of technologically advanced treatments and the company now markets a revolutionary new stain repellent treatment, which incorporates the latest in anti-biocide technology from Y2K Coatings of Warrington, UK.

The new combined product not only enhances the interior soft furnishing and carpets, prolonging their useful life and maintaining a better appearance, but the addition of the "Aerocare" anti-biocide also helps to protect against the spread of bugs and viruses, thus providing a more complete solution to airlines' interior problems.

ANTI-STAIN TREATMENT FOR AIRCRAFT SEAT COVERS AND CARPETS

The flouropolymer-based anti-stain treatment reduces static, repels oils and water for more than five spray extraction cleans, and effectively doubles the in-service life of carpets and fabric seat covers, if properly maintained.

The "Aerocare", which is currently enjoying rapid growth within the industry, provides a low inoculum level of protection against pathogens, spores, viruses and bacteria, including the industry crippling SARS, MRSA, E-coli and Norwalk.

STAIN RESISTANT CARPET - JOINT AGREEMENT

Fiber Protector AS and Y2K Coatings have signed a joint agreement for the promotion of the joint product worldwide, and they have already secured a contract to supply aircraft and industrial carpets at OEM level, with a major carpet manufacturer, despite it only becoming available within the last six weeks.

Work is also underway to introduce it into other transport industries, and contracts have also been signed with interior solutions providers for the rail and coach industries. An agreement was signed between Fiber Portector and Solutions E2 of Ipswich for the supply and application to British and European-based trains and coaches.

AXMINSTER AIRCRAFT NYLON CARPET

Further development work over the past 12 months has also let to the signing of a contract for the application at Mill level with Axminster Carpets, the home of fine carpets. The product launch of the new Axminster aircraft nylon carpet took place in Hamburg in April, and the carpet includes the combined treatment as standard.
