EMTEQ’s Florida-based engineering office moved from Miami to Miramar, Florida on 1 November 2008. At 5,000ft², the office will accommodate growth of up to ten additional staff. The Florida group mainly offers design, certification and consulting services for the commercial retrofit aviation markets, and owns more than 100 STCs for major airframe OEM models, including: Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, Embraer, Beechcraft, BAE, McDonnell-Douglas, Pilatus, and others.

Jeff Rozewicz, director of sales and engineering, says: “The move will allow EMTEQ to better service our customers and expand our capabilities within the aviation industry.” The Miami to Miramar relocation is one among several moves that have enhanced EMTEQ’s overall engineering and certification capabilities since the summer. Others include the acquisition of Aero Consulting Services of Winnipeg, which holds Transport Canada Design Approval Organization (DAO) and is authorized to issue Transport Canada LSTCs on behalf of the Transport Canada minister, as well as the establishment of a design facility in Brazil.
