EMTEQ's Newest Ethernet and 75 Ohm Specialty Cables are Aviation Firsts
Ethernet features excellent physical and electrical performance; 75 ohm brings HDTV quality to the air.
As a leading provider of aviation-related products and services serving the corporate, commercial and military markets, EMTEQ, headquartered in New Berlin, WI, brings two new, distinct specialty cable products to market.
PFLX275-075-01 is the industry's first and only low loss, aircraft grade cable designed to support and enhance high definition television picture quality. This 75 ohm, high performance coaxial cable, designed exclusively for HDTV (High Definition Television) systems, meets FAR part 25 burn and flammability specifications and was designed per MIL-C-17 guidelines.
Says company president Jerry Jendusa, "EMTEQ introduced low-loss, light-weight, zero halogen, highly flexible RF coaxial cables to the aviation market in 1996. The tradition of offering customers specific design solutions based on their needs has been and continues to be a key element in driving our new product development program."
Market demand has also driven EMTEQ’s push to remain competitive in the fast-paced world of in-flight communications. Complementing EMTEQ’s existing line of Ethernet cables, the company now offers an industry breakthrough extremely low-weight, one gigabit / CAT 5E / 100 Base-T Ethernet cable.
EMTEQ'S NEWEST ETHERNET AND 75 OHM SPECIALTY CABLES
This product is quite possibly the lightest-weight cable of its class based on competitive analysis. EMTEQ's D100-0424-100 features excellent performance characteristics with its solid foil aluminum braid which provides 100% shielding coverage to prevent EMI (electro-magnetic interference) and reduces weight. Compared to similar products, EMTEQ's cable is designed for one gigabit transmission up to 80 meters and significantly reduces or eliminates near-end cross talk at 10 and 100 MHz. This cable is appropriate for quadraxial Ethernet connections.
