EMTEQ Introduces LED 400C Exterior Light

06 August 2007 16:34

EMTEQ, a leading aerospace product and service provider, announces another breakthrough LED product, taking advantage of the latest high performance LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology. Its red and white 400-candela LED anti-collision exterior lights, designed for fixed-wing applications as developed by EMTEQ subsidiary Flight Components, AG, of Switzerland, meet all performance and luminosity criteria dictated by FARs, while incorporating chip-on-board technology to reduce LED size and make the fixtures ideal for customization.

Jerry Jendusa, EMTEQ's, co-founder, president and CEO, noted, "EMTEQs acquisition of Flight Components is a wonderfully complementary melding of our interior and their LED exterior lighting products. Using the latest in LED technology and integrated optics for small package sizes, lightweight and efficient product offerings, we have been able to create a new product line that combines superior luminosity and overall performance with the long life and other benefits of LED technology; these 400-candela exterior lights are a perfect example of this."

With almost four decades of exterior lighting expertise, flight components makes products designed to meet RTCA/DO-160 and MIL-STD-810, to fulfill requirements for EASA ETSO and FAA TSO certification and OEM specifications while specializing in exterior lighting systems with state-of-the-art technology, design and manufacturing capabilities.

Flight Components holds EASA certifications as a production and maintenance facility, as well as ISO 9001:2000 certification. EMTEQ is an FAA PMA-approved facility and is EN/JSIQ/AS9100:2004 certified.
