EMTEQ Supplies Honeywell RAAS Upgrade to 737 Series Aircraft

EMTEQ has been granted FAA STC approval for the installation of Honeywell RAAS (Runway Awareness Advisory System) software to the Honeywell MK V EGPWS computer on B737-300 to B737-900 series aircraft. The Honeywell RAAS provides aural advice to the flight crew, increasing their situational awareness with respect to the runway during time spent on the ground and on the approach to landing.
EMTEQ's STC data package consists of installation instructions, ground-test procedure, EMI-test procedure, and instructions for continued airworthiness. The configuration certified by EMTEQ gives on-ground, aural advisory messages. The same design of data package could be easily modified for approval of the RAAS installation to the Honeywell MK VII EGPWS computer, or to activate the in-air aural advice.
EMTEQ holds nearly 30 STCs for installation of Honeywell equipment, and over 100 STCs for Boeing / McDonnell Douglas, Airbus, Lockheed, Raytheon, Fokker, BAE, Embraer and other aircraft.
