ECONOMICAL IFE SYSTEMS FOR SMALLER AIRCRAFT

Inflight entertainment has yet to become standard equipment on every plane. Size and weight restrictions, and complex installation procedures pose a challenge to economically sensible IFE installations, especially in smaller aircraft.

ALSTERAERO CABIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The AlsterAero system includes the central server units as well as network and passenger devices.

The central unit is connected to the SATCOM antenna and controls external traffic for communication and Internet access as well as the internal system storage for applications such as video-on-demand.

Passenger devices include displays of various sizes, different phones and to passenger control units to enable the passenger to select the functionality desired.

AlsterAero recommend an integration to cabin management systems in order to reduce the number of control units.

AIRCRAFT COMMUNICATION AND CONNECTIVITY

Because we are conscious that business pivots on communication, we have designed our system to support any method of contact you might need onboard.

Since we are able to base any form of communication on the same technology, we can offer a whole range of options whilst minimising the space occupied by our equipment.

The applications offered span from SATCOM telephony over broadband bearer access to fax or SMS services.

The network in place for connectivity gives you the option to install the entertainment services you require, without the need of laying the same cable twice. Available applications include real video on demand, audio channels, moving maps and games.
