END-TO-END AIRCRAFT DATA MANAGEMENTAnalyzing aircraft data on a routine basis is a proven method to increase flight safety and enhance operations. Teledyne Controls provides seamless end-to-end aircraft data-management automated solutions to support flight-operation monitoring, safety management and aircraft maintenance programs. Our end-to-end solutions begin with the acquisition and recording of the data on the aircraft using the broadest line of ACMS-capable digital flight data acquisition and data management units available on the market today. This is followed by the communication of specific aircraft reports and data-to-ground processing equipment in near real time via our wireless data transfer products. Once aircraft data is received on the ground, Teledyne's offering continues with flight-data replay, analysis and reporting solutions. Support services in the form of certification, installation and training are offered as the final element of Teledyne's total aircraft flight information management solutions. TELEDYNE CONTROLS' 'CONNECTED AIRCRAFT'Teledyne's 'connected aircraft' forward product strategy consists of bridging traditional ARINC 429 avionics with TCP / IP-based equipment and communication networks. This concept was driven by observing industry trends, such as the increasing number of TCP / IP-based systems installed on aircraft and their need to interoperate with traditional avionics equipment, as well as the increased interest in wireless communication, both in the aircraft cabin and between the aircraft and ground equipment. Adding IP interfaces to traditional avionics allows operators to achieve maximum benefit while minimizing aircraft modifications and thereby costs. This new combined architecture will provide a significant number of application possibilities as requirements continue to evolve more towards an Ethernet-based environment. Both solutions have been flying in commercial service for years, and have given Teledyne a wealth of experience in the wireless transmission of data for the airline environment. ELECTRONIC FLIGHT BAGSTeledyne Controls' Electronic Flight Bags (EFB), help operators move towards a paperless cockpit, offering innovative solutions for a fully digital information environment on the flight deck.
