Western Avionics introduces WA73A-455; a solution for Legacy MIL-STD-1553 applications.

Shannon, Ireland - September 18, 2003 - Western Avionics announced today the full production release of its replacement VXI unit, for legacy support of the Tektronix / CDS 73A-455 MIL-STD-1553A/B Bus Simulator Module, discontinued by Tektronix on March 31, 2001.

The replacement MIL-STD-1553A/B Bus Simulator Module, designated WA73A-455, is a direct plug-in replacement unit, with true 'form, fit and function' capability.

The WA73A-455 unit provides each and every capability of the Tektronix / CDS 73A-455, in an identical manner, with a much improved MTBF and reduced power consumption.

The WA73A-455 unit solves a problem for existing Tektronix / CDS 73A-455 users, as the WA73A-455 can be used in existing test rigs with no change to interconnect wiring, and no change to existing operational software.
