CGB Precision Products - Aircraft Bearings, Couplings, Seals and Thermoplastic Components

CGB Precision Products has been serving the Australian aerospace and defence industries for over 33 years as the representative for the world's foremost manufacturers of precision and thin-section bearings, seals, self-lubricated bearings and helicopter drive shafts.

These manufacturers supply many of the world's leading aircraft and military component manufacturers and the emerging UAV industry, and their products are backed by extensive engineering departments that can assist you in any of your projects.

We can offer products from the following manufacturers.

BARDEN PRECISION AEROSPACE BEARINGS

Custom-designed and manufactured aerospace bearings are a cornerstone of the Barden product line. Aerospace bearings are specifically designed according to application requirements, and our engineering staff are often involved in the early development stages of aerospace equipment

Barden aircraft bearings are utilised in pneumatic and electric starters and generators, gearboxes, main engines, and a variety of auxiliary aircraft positions including gyros. Barden's bearing configurations range from standard deep-groove bearings to intricate split inner-ring designs.

FULL-COMPLEMENT AIRCRAFT BEARINGS

Barden can supply a range of full-complement aircraft bearings that capitalise on the space usually occupied by the ball retainer. Applications vary from high-temperature valves to missile fin support, and some designs meet military specifications.

AIRCRAFT BEARINGS RANGE

Barden can offer many aircraft bearing types, ranging from conventional bearings with modified dimensions to intricate configurations designed to meet unusual performance or application problems.

KAMATICS SELF-LUBRICATING BEARINGS AND HELICOPTER DRIVE SHAFTS

Kamatics manufactures high-performance mechanical products used in aviation: primarily self-lubricated bearings for aircraft flight controls, turbine engines, and landing gear, and KAflex® driveline couplings for helicopters.

HOMOGENEOUS SELF-LUBRICATING LINER SYSTEMS

KAron® and KAtherm® systems are qualified to demanding military specifications (SAE AS81820, SAE AS81934, MIL-B-8943 and SAE AS81819). KAron and KAtherm are homogeneous self-lubricating aerospace liner systems incorporating PTFE particles in polyester thermosetting resin-based materials, which can be tailored to meet specific performance requirements.

The unique KAron and KAtherm aircraft bearing systems offer an innovative alternative to traditional lubricated / self lubricated bearings, providing superior performance and lifecycle benefits.

KAFLEX MECHANICAL DRIVE COUPLING

The KAflex driveshaft is a mechanical drive coupling which requires no lubrication or seals, and transmits power while accommodating high angular misalignment and length change through the use of flexible rectangular frames.

GREENE TWEED SEALS AND THERMOPLASTIC COMPONENTS

Greene Tweed's high-performance aircraft seals and thermoplastic components are found worldwide in the most demanding high-performance civil and military platforms. In fact, 90% of the world's commercial and military aircraft depend on Greene Tweed components.

Because of our design expertise, Greene Tweed customises solutions that leverage our extensive applications experience and knowledge of elastomers and thermoplastics. In the air or on the ground, absolute sealing integrity and component performance is essential.

Greene Tweed's seals are used in:

  • Primary flying controls
  • Utility / secondary controls
  • Landing gear and braking controls
  • Engine ancillaries
  • Military fighting vehicles

Greene Tweed provides added reliability and performance in the service critical and challenging aerospace environment.
