In April 2009, Austbrokers ABS Aviation formed as the result of a joint venture between Austbrokers Sydney and Jeremy Birtwistle.

Jeremy began his career as a broker for Lloyds of London and moved to Australia in 1994. He has more than 35 years' experience in aviation insurance. He has worked as an international broker ever since he arrived in 1994 and created a successful large aviation division at the company he worked at before moving to Austbrokers.

Martin Williams began working in the aviation insurance sector in 2007 after graduating from Macquarie University with a bachelor of commerce degree. He was a colleague of Jeremy's previously to joining Austbrokers in 2009.
